How Balance Yoga Came To Be
A style of dance called Breaking heavily motivated Tracy Tomchuk's yoga practice in recent years. In fact, her thoughtful and safe approach to the study of Breaking began to look more and more like "self-taught" advanced yoga. Devoted to understanding the spiritual and safe physical practices of both Yoga and Breaking is what motivated her to become certified as a Yoga Teacher, in Inda.
In India, is where Tracy learned about the Pawanmuktasana Series. Balance Yoga incorporates part of the series into class warmup. It focuses on smaller joint movements - this will aid in restoration, maintenance and injury prevention to joints, to overall improve joint health and physical well being. It is an essential component to this class, because as we know, damage to a joint and/or cartilage is extremely difficult to reverse.
For hand, arm and head balancing postures proper aliment and variations are the only way to ensure health and safety of the bones, joints and muscles. The combination of balancing poses and counter poses found in these classes will be sure to have you feeling powerful and flexible, safely for many years to come.
Physical activity should build your health, not hinder it.
